I will be working with Jordan Allured. I have chosen to work with Jordan because he is very hand on with the work wanting to be involved and help out in anyway possible, he also had many idea that I wouldn't think of, because of his different taste in music he will see what i see in a very different perspective .
In our first meeting we went thought artist and song ideas that we though would choose, we though the best way to make it far would be each of us choosing a song and artist that we wanted to make a music video and then voting. 'up all night' by Mac Miller was chosen by jordan this song was very fast and it was rap which doesnt have very clear conventions, also it is very hard to sync video to sound. Then Jordan choose 'Road Rage' by Dizzie Rascal this was also a fast paced song meaning its hard to continuasly change scene and its also violent. My choice was 'You, My Everything' by Ellie Goulding this was whatt everyone voted for because of the video idea that I had in mind, also with the artist it was easy give the artist an image. The song is about a sad situation but with the beat its quite a happy feel to it. With a good flow of idea we all agreed with this song.2
The idea we had for the music video was that a guy is on a date with a girl but it changes though out, showing different girls, with a sudden change some of the places we agreed on is a photo booth, pub and a few others. these transaction with change due to a sudden motion e.g. dropping a glass or flash of a photo. We are going to put glitter in a bass speaker and when the beat drops let it bounce around we found this idea from cassies video king of hearts. also a way of advertisement for it we will also have a pre video which will be a short 20second remix. We have annotated the lyrics mean that we know where all the changes in scene are going to be and all the change of girl.
We have chosen the genre Indie Rock meaning people like our artist would be Lana Del Ray, Lily Allen, Florence and the machine and Little Boots. From the genre we have chosen I haven seen that most of the videos are all about the visual affect and editing styles, so we are going to take this and use this, also I have seen that they are mostly about love and have powerful meanings behind each video. They are all pretty woman and have many close ups of there best features keeping men interested within the video.
